Our Lady of Kibeho

the early '80s, at Kibeho in Rwanda, beginning what many consider the most important apparitions of Jesus and Mary. It all began in Rwanda, November 28, 1981, in a panel of students, taught by a religious congregation of Sisters of Rwanda in Kibeho.
It was 12.35. The girls were in the college refectory. Alphonsine Mumureke, aged 16, pupil of the sixth grade, was serving her companions at the table when he heard distinctly a voice calling her: "Daughter my, come here. " The voice came from the hallway, next to the refectory. Alphonsine headed in that direction and saw her, for the first time, a young woman, unknown, beautiful, dressed in white with a white veil on her head, hiding her hair, and that seemed mixed with the rest of the dress, and not you could understand how the dress was sewn. He had no shoes. Hands folded on his chest with fingers pointing to heaven. The Madonna was not exactly white as presented in the saints, but neither is black. Alphonsine affermerа in his testimony, he could not say exactly how it was her skin. The Madonna was her incomparable beauty. Alphonsine, full of fear, asked the Lady who she was. The woman replied: "I am the Mother of the Word." Then you are the Mother of the Word? "He asked the seer to the Madonna, as shown by the students. Then Alphonsine also appeared to Our Lady: "And I'm Alphonsine." Our Lady went on: "In your Christian life, what is the most important thing for you?" Alphonsine said: "I love God and his Mother who has given birth to us the Redeemer. " The Lady said, "Really." "Yes, that's so," continued the visionary. The Lady at this point he said: "If so, I come to console you, because I heard your prayers. I have your companions faith, why do not they have had enough. " The Lady also asked to teach his companions to pray because they could not pray or did not do quite as well as to take into consideration the devotion to Mary, their Mother. The appearance lasted about a quarter of an hour. The College hosted 120 girls
internal divided into three classes and preparing to become elementary school teachers or secretaries of the company. It was directed by three sisters who also acted as teachers. The other teachers were lay people, a woman and five men. It was not equipped with a chapel. There was therefore a particularly strong religious climate.
The College mates, present, heard the words of Alphonsine, but not those of the Lady. They thought it was hysterical
Alphonsine or was the victim of hallucinations. Alphonsine became the laughingstock of her companions. No one took seriously what he told her and she suffered from this situation. He prayed to the Virgin Mary to appear to other girls so they could believe, the Madonna and contented. On the evening of January 12, 1982 Our Lady appeared also to Mukamazimpaka Nathalie, who was then 17 years. But it was to drop the skepticism. Alphonsine continued to ask Our Lady to appear again to other girls, and still content with the Madonna. On 2 March 1982, the Virgin appeared to Marie-Claire Mukangango, 21 years. This fact was decisive. Marie-Claire was the most bitter and skeptical, given its age, condition the behavior of all the other boarders. When she said she had seen her, all surrendered. And from that time the College began to pay serious attention to those phenomena.
Messages left by Our Lady to the visionaries of Kibeho is not unique to the Rwandan population. He explicitly the Virgin herself said to Marie-Claire: "When I do see and talk to someone, I intend to address the whole world." So, the message of Kibeho is a message for the world. And it is an urgent and heartfelt. A message concerned. Our Lady at Kibeho speaks of "a world without God," which has no peace because "it ignores the values \u200b\u200bof the spirit." important was the appearance of 15 August 1982, when the visionaries had a clear vision of what would have happened a few years later in their country. That day, the Virgin appeared to the girls very sad. Alphonsine reported seeing her in tears. And even the girls behaved differently than usual: they wept, trembled and his teeth chattered with fear. Apparition was exceptionally long, lasting eight hours. The girls told him then that he saw "a river of blood, people were killing each other, abandoned corpses with no one caring to bury them, a gaping chasm, a scary monster, severed heads." In effect, then broke out in that ravaged country the civil war between ethnic groups, Hutus and Tutsis, there were terrible massacres, which confirmed the veracity of the apparition. Two girls, and Nathalie Alphonsine also were able to accomplish, in blood, several trips with the mystic Madonna nell'aldilа, where they could establish the existence of proceedings after death, which according to the three men split the destinations defined by moral judgments, heaven, purgatory and hell.
After careful examination, conducted by two committees, the medical community (which has certified the normalitа girls) and theological (which found no errors in the apparitions).
June 29, 2001, there was recognition of the authenticity the apparitions in Kibeho by the church. Only the three seers, or deserve to be considered as genuine: it is Alphonsine MUMUREKE, Nathalie and Marie Claire MUKAMAZJMPAKA MUKANGANGO. On 31 May 2003 at 10.00 am, and S. Em.za Card. Sepe, Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, sent by the Pope to perform the consecration of the Shrine of Our Lady of Pain in Kibeho, celebrated a solemn Mass with all Rwandan bishop, took place before the faithful gathered there, the phenomenon of the sun dance, as at Fatima, October 13, 1917. It lasted eight minutes and was filmed and photographed, and so as to exclude any kind of suggestion.
